Considerable investment was being planned for bus and rail infrastructure across Australia to meet demand and encourage greater use of public transport. Critical to long-term success is ensuring safety and security and reducing the threat of terrorism through best practice planning and design of transport infrastructure.

This conference brought together leading experts to share up-to-date knowledge and best practice on infrastructure design for transport nodes and transit precincts to improve safety and security outcomes and reduce terrorist threats.
