• • Brief Biography ::

Stein joined Main Roads Department in 1983 as a cadet road designer and completed a diploma in civil engineering in 1986. He was involved in strategic and project planning, and detailed design of road projects. He has been with Queensland Transport since 1996, involved mainly in Strategic Planning and Integrated Transport Planning in South East Queensland. In 2001, Stein will complete a Bachelor of Business degree majoring in Economics and Marketing. The main projects he has been involved with include: - The Integrated Regional Transport Plan for South East Queensland - Shaping Up Guidelines - Shaping urban communities to support public transport, cycling and walking in Queensland. - Cycle South East and Regional Cycle Network Plan - Development of the South East & Inner Northern Busway Operational Plan
